I would like to play a similar role that I play in my team now or have a role that has a high ceiling and gives a lot of potential for growth. The role I play in my team for cross country is what I consider the "x factor." I may not be our 1 or 2 but the 3-5 arguably have a more important role on the team when deciding scoring. During the 2018 season, I had to assume a role I had not before, which was scoring and racing because places began to matter rather than just PR's. I consistently ran as our 3/4 in scoring during the season and helped the team to place 6th in our region at the end of the season. I aspire to reach potentials that I could not imagine right now, and hopefully with the structure of college training that would be possible. I think that setting attainable goals and combined with my discipline it would take me very far on a college team. Adaptability, drive, team orientation, and maturity is what would make me a good candidate for a college team. My balance of high academic standards and athletic standards makes me different from other recruits. I think that my overall maturity and discipline are what separate me most from other recruits. Academics are very important to me and help with discipline which I transfer to athletics. I would be excited to be part of a team where I can like minded people and be successful together.
