Keaton Beckmann '17 Recruiting Profile

I am a native Oregonian, born and raised in Salem. I have been a devoted Christian all my life, worshiping at Brunstad Christian Church. My faith, nurtured by my family and my church, has instilled in me a work ethic that exceeds many other young men my age.

Athletics have been an important part of my life growing up. Ever since the beginning of high school, soccer has been my favorite sport. I have played it for both my school and several clubs all over Oregon. Soccer has been an outstanding experience, teaching me lessons that will benefit me in my personal, academic, professional and spiritual life. For example, I’ve learned how to overcome adversity in losing and triumph gracefully in victory. I’ve learned to value the team and the achievement of its goals as more important than the success of any individual member of the team. Presently, my primary athletic focus is on track and field, which offers the opportunity for improvement and greater potential for participation in the future. But as much as I enjoy athletics, I don’t allow them to detract from my determination to excel academically.

My short and long-term, post-secondary educational goals consist of a pre-med track with chemistry as my major.My intention is to prepare myself for a rigorous academic regimen at the university level. I would be a great asset to your team because I am one of the most fierce competitors in my league driven to surpass school records.
