I aspire to be the best in what I do. When it comes to pole vaulting, I have a great work ethic and will do my best on and off the track to better myself. My highest jump was attained sophomore year when I jumped 11’9 in a tristate meet. I missed both indoor and outdoor season junior year due to a broken radius and coronavirus coming around, leaving me without a chance to raise the bar. Only a few weeks after returning from injury, I jumped over a 13’ bungee in practice, proving my drive and ability to improve. Going into senior year I hope to reach at least 14’3” to qualify and ultimately place in the Pennsylvania state championship meet. Facing these challenges have only driven me to work harder and push through the adversity that I face.
