As a runner, I want to foster more than a team, but a community. A community that motivates me, and a place where I motivate those around me. I want to take a leadership role, and I'm excited to join a program that I can create a lasting impact on the performance and character of the team. When I'm surrounded by supportive teammates and coaches, I'm am driven to become a better runner and inspire others. Running has motivated me beyond the track. The track program has made me a better student and a more well-rounded person. Continuing track would complete my college experience, and I am open to exploring further opportunities through track.
I specialize in the 200m and I also run the 100m 400m and the last leg of the 4x100m relay. As a junior, my goals are to break 23.5 in the 200m and progress in my other events. This year, I have already improved my 100m time to 11.63 seconds. This past fall as well as this upcoming fall, I run Cross Country to stay fresh for the indoor and spring season, and it helped me keep my form for longer.
