Personal Statement
I started running with a program offered by the Y in Elementary School and advanced to become a Varsity runner upon entering 9th grade in high school. Running mid-distance is my favorite (800m & 1600m), but I also enjoy running the 3200m and the 5k. My coach will even have me run a successful 200m & 400m for my team. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I look forward to improving my times throughout my remaining high school seasons (Fall, Winter and Spring) and continuing my running career in college.
