2019 HighlightsAs a student-athlete and an active member of my community, I am a great candidate for collegiate track and academics. Throughout my high school career, challenging classes such as AP Calculus and Honors English have taught me about hard work and what it takes to be academically successful. I am passionate about competing in track but also committed to building strong bonds and creating a family-like environment among my teammates. As I move into the next level of my education, I wish to explore possible athletic careers, be a presence in a larger community and continue running competitively.
As a dedicated athlete, my preparation extends beyond weekly practices. I commit to 4 hours of weight training and cardio a week. As captain of my track team, I strive to aid and encourage my teammates on and off the track. As a participant of my school's poetry club and my church's choir, I creatively express myself and seek to inspire others. My involvement in these activities makes grateful, equipped and excited to continue my secondary learning and athletics in an environment designed for my growth.
