My name is Matt Giuliano. I am a senior at Bishop Hendricken High School in RI and I am looking to compete in Track and Field at the varsity level in College.
For the past 3 years of High School I have only thrown outdoors, training 2.5 months a year because I have been a multisport athlete. This past Spring I ended my High School Season with a 167'3" PR with the 12lb hammer.
At the beginning of July I started working with a club team called the Ocean State Hammerheads. In the last 5 months of training with the Club, I have worked on my 4-turn throw and have improved my practice PR with the Hammer to 194'11" while consistently throwing over 180'. I have also been throwing roughly 148-153ft consistently with the 7.26k, with my practice PR being 156'3". In addition, I also started throwing weight in weekly practices, which I have never really trained with before and I was able to 3 turn 57'-60' feet within a couple weeks, with my practice best being 64'. This Winter I have decided to throw indoor and I opened the 1st week of the High School Season with a 61'10.75" mark.
