I just started running in January 2016 (my sophomore year) and ever since I have taken off with it. I ran PRs of 5:01 in 1600m, 2:09 in the 800m, and 11:07 in the 3200m in my first season, but through hard work and much training I have been able to improve enough to run PRs of 4:34 in the 1600m, 2:02 in the 800m, and 9:59 in the 3200m this year. I have recently started to focus on running at the college level because I believe that I will be more than ready to do so by the end of my senior year. I have a really high ceiling due to genetic benefits (my father was a star middle distance runner at Michigan State) and a strong work ethic that will carry me far both on and off the track. I currently possess a 4.28 GPA, have above average test scores, and the grit to set my self apart as a leader in the locker room and on the track. I would like a coach to know that even though my times aren't off the charts right now, I believe that I will continue improving at a fast rate and should have times of sub-4:20, sub-1:58, and sub-9:40 by the time I graduate.
