My goals in college is to gain a 4 year degree, and excel academically. The two fields of study I find most appealing are mass communication, and business.
I would aspire to be a broadcast meteorologist if I could be anything I wanted. However I feel I would be quite comfortable in the business environment. In particular, in the sales and marketing area.
I believe I would be a great asset to any athletic team, given my leadership skills. I have acquired a high degree of confidence and discipline with over a dozen years training in the Martial Arts. I am a highly determined and motivated individual which is exemplified by my attainment of a second degree black belt. I am very proud of this accomplishment given that my teacher was Grand Master Roy Kurban. Grand Master Kurban is recognized as being one of the true greats in the country.
It’s because of this experience and training with adults and professional martial artists that I feel different than most other athletes. Often I trained with ladies and men that were from diverse fields of employment, including many in law enforcement.
Perhaps what makes me more dissimilar then other students going to college, is that I learned that academics truly are the number one priority. Case and point: My freshmen and sophomore years were disappointing giving the intelligence I know I possess. I am a great believer that you learn by your mistakes, I also believe that a person must be judged on what they done lately. I’ve learned that studying is important, and one can see that my grades have greatly improved as a junior and senior.
I hope that the reader of my comments will realize that I bring a lot to the party as a seasoned and determined athlete/student.
