Running at the Texas UIL 6A State Track Meet my junior year has been the highlight of my high school career. I competed in both the 300 hurdles and 4x100 relay. However, I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete my sophomore year when my 4x100 relay team didn't qualify for the state meet, when we were expected to. That experience helped me grow as an athlete and made me more determined than ever to qualify the following year.
I have also been fortunate enough to travel to several national track meets, including the USATF Junior Olympics, AAU Junior Olympics, and the New Balance Outdoor Nationals. At each of these high level meets I have learned more about myself as an athlete and what it takes to compete with the best in the nation.
I am more motivated than ever going into my senior track season! I have goals to place in the 6A State Track Meet and the Texas Relays in both the 110 and 300 hurdles. I also plan to make a decision regarding my future in collegiate track and field.
