Samuel Pope '20 Recruiting Profile

Driven, hardworking, thriving for achievement …. that’s me, Sam Pope.  For as long as I can remember I have wanted to do something within the medical field, as my love for track and field has grown over the years, my career aspirations to become an orthopedic surgeon is clearer. I want to be able to give back to other athletes in my future.

In the classroom, I have been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA, and over the summer was able to start dual credit hours with North Central Texas College. I currently am a mentor to several elementary students within my district. I have been committed to giving my personal best to my teachers, coaches, and teammates. I feel blessed to have made a positive impact on those who know me. 

In my limited spare time; I currently work a part-time job, train and spend time with my family. 

I value personal relationships and prefer to be in a smaller class setting.  I would like to find a university that can challenge me, help me grow personally and professionally within my program and on the track (oh and have fun and enjoy the experience).
