Marcello Ponce '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Marcello Ponce I am a C/O 2026 runner, I run track and cross country at MacArthur High School in Houston, Texas. I want to run in college without a doubt, ever since my first summer running with my team I knew I found something I enjoyed. I’ve always had passion in this sport ever since the beginning and I work hard towards success and greatness. I like to see my team strive as much as I want to strive so often times I encourage team mates to run with me and even try to encourage them to train with me daily. I’m trying to go to college to get a Bachelor’s in Accounting, right now I take all Pre-Ap core classes and am looking to take Dual Credit classes next year. Something that drives me is my parents, they never got a college degree and seeing the struggles they go through motivates me to try my best to get to college. I’m hoping that running can take me there and I can make my parents proud  because all they want me to do is succeed. Give me a goal and I will work towards it, whatever you say i’ll do.
