Being a junior, I feel as if I have always had big dreams both academically and athletically. I stand 5` 8" and weigh 155 pounds. I have always worked hard and been willing to put forth as much effort as it takes to reach my peak ability in school as well as track and football. I run a 4.43 consistently in the forty yard dash so I do have speed on my side and I also work four or five days a week on my hurdling and conditioning. Since I was young I've wanted to play college sports. I would watch track and football on the television and couldn't see myself wanting to be anywhere but there once I graduated high school and I've dedicated my training and my studies to try and make sure I get there. I competed in the USATF Track & Field Junior Olympics in 2009 and finished 6th in the 200 meter hurdles and made in to the finals in the 100 meter hurdles. I ran Varsity track as a freshman and sophmore and made the finals at the district meet in all 3 events I competed in. I competed in the USATF National Championships in 2011 where I placed 7th in the 110 meter hurdles. I compete in district 20-4A and am about to run in the Regional Meet at Sam Houston State University. I played cornerback, and wide receiver for our Varsity football team as a sophomore and junior. I have always been an honor student and I currently have a 3.75 GPA, scored 1870 on the SAT and 24 on the ACT. My ultimate goal is to do well enough in academics and sports to be able to receive a scholarship and continue to play at the collegiate level. My short term goals are to retake the SAT this May and to beat my personal record at the regional track meet on April 26th. I am excited to see what the future holds for me and I look forward to learning as much as possible about different Universities and how I fit into them.
