Personal Statement

My name is Hunter Solomon and I really enjoy competition.   My collegiate goals are to gain a useful degree that will help me succeed as an adult and to be the top athlete in my running events.  I love the process of the workouts and how each workout has a purpose.  One thing that separates me from my peers is that I am putting in the work that others are not willing to do.  That statement is true not only in sports but also in academics and life.  One phrase that truly embodies me as a whole is Hard Work Pays Off.

  • I have been training in Crossfit for approx. 3 years. The goal was to build my engine by interval training while gathering some strength along the way. I do crossfit style workouts 3days a week and do strictly run only workout 2 days a week outside of my school workouts.
  • Running-Chris Hinshaw's Develop your Engine & Stamina
  • 2 years
  • I run 2 days a week with a programmed workout and do several "free runs" for paced times and distances a month. This has really helped up my aerobic capacity and increase my lactic acid threshold.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
