Cody Hall '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Cody Hall I am a Senior at Pearland High School in Pearland TX. Track has been more than a sport to me it has been a character builder. Track has taught me that through hard work, commitment, discipline, dedication, determination and execution, I could obtain my goals. I used what I have learned on the track to obtain a top 5% class ranking ending my junior year. I am now graduating as the Valedictorian number one in my class. I finished my high school career receiving all A's for all four years.

Track has also taught me that even when you don't have the God given abilities you can make it up through hard work and execution. I love track, but just not for the sake of running and competing in track. I love track for the opportunities that it brings, such as the new friends, places, challenges and teammates it brings. I believe totally in the student athlete process. I will use my athletic abilities to hopefully gain a college education. Education is the true source of success.

For all the achievements I have reached on the track, they would mean nothing if I did not win in the classroom as well. I believe with all my heart this passion for excellence I have can be directly attributed to my participation in Track and Field.

In 2014 I have been ranked as high as number 4 in the state of Texas and number 9 in the Nation in the 60 meter hurdles. I have started my 2014 outdoor season with a bang running a personal best 14.59 in the 110mh and a blazing 38.41 in the 300mh which at the time was the fastest in the Nation.I believe  that this is only the beginning of a big season for me.
