Nazhir Carter "Naz" '20 Recruiting Profile

I am Nazhir Carter, but I go by "Naz".  I am a incoming Senior graduating May, 2020. I have been running track since I was 7 yrs old because of my Love & Passion for speed and being able to just "Run Fast", which is why I love track. Track allows me to continue to push myself to become the best I can be.  My goal is to continue my track career on a collegiate level and major in Audio Engineering. However, my dream is to go "Pro" and build a platform for myself in which I can share my gift.  What makes me a good athlete is that I know I'm talented, but that doesn't mean I'm the "Best". My biggest competition is myself, because in order to be the best "Me" as an athlete, I must be able to move out of my way, which means being uncomfortable at times to grow.  I am thankful, but I am hungry and determined to utilize my gift to the fullest and fulfill my dreams. 

What sets me apart from other athletes is that I'm honest with myself and realize every time I have to practice I may not want to, but its necessary to become better. I'm focused on producing results on/off the track. My education is necessary to what I will become and will determine my placement in this world.  I don't believe in wasting time, I believe in making the most of time that is given to me to be an example to others.
