2018 HighlightsI want to receive a Bachelor's Degree in construction science/engineering. I am currently in the National Honor Society and maintain high averages in my classes.
Of all the sports I have played in high school, track is my favorite. I recently joined AAU and TAAF and started attending track events outside of UIL events related to my school. I will soon be joining USATF and the Texas Throwers Association to provide myself with even more opportunities to compete. I am looking forward to my first indoor track circuit this fall/winter and attending more throwing events outside of UIL.
I have met some amazing coaches through these programs including Stefan Blomqvist, a former member and medal winner of the Swedish National Team; Josh Tiemann, a two-time All Big 12 athlete thrower for Texas A&M; and Carol Finsrud, a record-setting thrower in her class and three-time Olympic Trial athlete. Two things all of my coaches agree on is that 1) I have so much more left in me and 2) I am coachable. While it may not be wise to discuss areas I need improvement on, I am currently working on my blocking at the end of my throws. It's the one thing all my coaches agree on; if I can get my block down, the sky is the limit.
I am looking forward to competing on the next level and acquiring the skills for throwing hammer and javelin. I believe I would be an asset to any team at the college level and capable of contributing to the point total at any meet.
