I have had to work hard for everything in my life including track. I know how to motivate myself, push my limits even when nobody is there to push them for me. I've held myself to a higher standard and been held to a higher standard by my family all my life and it has shown. Coming into track in this school I have been breaking school records since 7th grade, with the only competition being myself, constantly breaking my own school records year after year. While I'm not where I want to be academically, I am still in a great spot. Aim small miss small. I am a straight A student, with a 3.9 GPA and scored in the top 10% in the SAT in my class. I know how to be a good leader, which includes not always taking charge but being the first to submit to authority, listening to peers, and leading by example. I have been the assistant coach on my track team for 2 years helping my peers grow in their speed and their mindset. I have also managed to claim a medal in state every year of high school so far, with 3 silvers, 2 golds and 1 bronze total. Our school is poorly funded, so we have no training equipment. No lockers, weight room, and no track, and yet I've still found a way running on a dirt and grass field to make it this far. And I will use the same discipline when I am on your team.
