I started running distance races when I was 13 years old. In my first year of running, my coaches told me that if I worked hard and continued running that good things could happen.
Running in college is a goal that I want to achieve. I am beginning my Sophmore year in High School and want to build on the success that I had during my freshman seasons in Cross Country and Track. I qualified for State in Cross Country and was named my teams top male freshman. During the track season I improved after each race, was named my teams Top Newcomer and was the only freshman on the award podium in the 3200 race at the Kingco Conference District Meet.
I am a very consistent runner , work hard at each practice, never have been injured, listen to my coaches, get along with all of my teammates and have put in the extra effort all summer. Over the past 60 days I have particpated in off season practices 6 days a week, attended a Nike sponsored Cross County Camp and added strength training to my off season conditioning.
I aspire to be a great runner as I learn more, train hard and progress through my running career that I started less than 3 years ago. I am very excited for the opportunities that will come if I continue to improve and work hard.
