My name is Brayden Anderson, I am a senior at Cascade High School in Leavenworth Washington and I would love to be able to continue my running at the college level. At the first XC meet of the year last weekend (September 16th) I ran a 16:08 for the 5k which is our new school record as well as a PR of over 2 minutes from last year's season's best. This time puts me as the number 1 runner in Washington state for my schools division and also won me athlete of the week from the WIAA. I put a ton of hard work and miles in over the summer and plan on doing the same all year to get myself ready for the college level. As far as this season, I plan on getting my 5k time down to 15:45, winning state both individually and as a team, and also qualifying and attending Nike Cross Nationals. Academic wise, I take part in the running start program offered at my high school where I take all of my classes through the local community college. My end academic goal is to complete medical school and become a physician, specifically an oncologist. I am ready to put in the hours and hard work to fully acheive both my athletic and academic goals.
