My goal is to have the opportunity to run track at the collegiate level. Running is a passion of mine that started during 7th grade year, in track I ran the 100m dash, 200m dash, and 400m relay. During 8th grade I joined cross country and as a team we made it to state. That experience motivated me to compete in longer distances during 8th grade track season, I ran the 1600m dash, 400m dash, and 1600m relay, and our 1600m relay team won state and broke the state record with a time of 3:56. During my freshman year at Xavier High School I decided to play football over cross country in the fall, and during track season I made varsity and set several PRs for myself. As a sophomore I was part of the football team, and also ran varsity on the cross-country team, making 2nd team all-conference for cross country. Currently I'm preparing for sophomore track season by training at XLR8 Sports Training, LLC.
I'm proud of my work ethic and dedication to improving on the track, and I'm a compassionate teammate, building strong relationships and supporting each other as we work towards our goal to qualify for and compete in State.
