Andrew (AJ) Vinmans '24 Recruiting Profile

As of now, I’m not entirely sure if I want to participate in track at a collegiate level. I do very much enjoy track. However, when I’m in college, I need to focus on working to lessen the debt. I come out with as I will get little too non-financial help. along with that I do also want to focus on my educational goals. I’m not sure the workload that comes from collegiate track, so I’m not sure if this would hurt my ability to do either of those.

At my school we only have shotput and discus so those are my two main events. However, I’m very interested in trying out javelin, and possibly the other events as well.

I feel I’m right for your program because I’m a hard worker, I’m very coachable, and when I enjoy something such as track I strive to be the best possible version of me in that aspect.

I feel that I’m very different from other recruits you may see. I may not be as good as other people athletically, but I’m a very mature person who gives everything my all.
