Devon Zahn '18 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Devon Zahn. I’m 17 years of age and currently attending Oshkosh North High School as a Junior. I joined track my Freshman year, which was my first high school sport to join. I really enjoyed track and have committed to the sport including training in the off-season. I had several reasons for joining track:

· My father did it back when he was in high school in Sheboygan. He spoke of his enjoyment of the sport and the competition to better yourself. It made me realize I wanted that to be part of my high school experience.

· Peer pressure as well.  Several fellow team members encouraged me to join the team because of their own experience, including the support from the coaches and each other.

· Spring was coming up and i really wanted to join a sport my first year of high school so that I could make a four year commitment to a team. I created this profile is that I can get a head start on scholarships and potential schools.  A friend of mine recommend this website and I am impressed with the opportunity to approach college-level competition this way.  What makes me different is that I'm willing to try anything to help the team and willing to do what it takes to take it to the next level.  My records for Freshman year were 100m: 12.8 seconds 200m: 26.1 seconds. The reason why I want to do track in college is so I can go to college as an athlete, while studying and learning, and enjoy the next years of school. I'm mostly looking for colleges that are in the Midwest region area, for example: Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, South Dakota, North Dakota, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. I'm not picky on division either, as I am looking for what I can do for that college and what can that college do for me.

I'm the Class of 2018.
