Alexander "Alex" Yee '26 Recruiting Profile

I love volleyball and my goal is to continue to play at the next level. I was the starting setter for my 15 and 16 year old club teams of MVVC (Mountain View Volleyball Club) and made the varsity team at Saint Francis High School my sophomore year. I have been playing club volleyball since age 12 and prior to volleyball, I was an all star point guard for my AAU basketball team. This made the transition to setter easy since the 2 positions have many similarities, such as the necessity of being a leader, unselfish play & putting my teammates in a position to succeed.  

Outside of my volleyball teams, I enjoy teaching and helping younger kids succeed and find joy in sports. I have been an assistant coach on several youth teams at MVVC and have helped coach private lessons. Most importantly, I am also a coach with the local chapter of Special Olympics, which has taught me the power of inclusion, respect, and unity. As someone who has a younger brother with special needs, helping kids such as him who are different, participate and love sports means everything to me.
