Jacob Martinez '17 Recruiting Profile

I have sports in my DNA. I've grown up participating in a wide variety of team and individual sports. I committed to pursing volleyball full time at the end of my sophomore year, because of the support of my personal coach, and personal goal to play at the next level. I have lead by example and constantly push all my teammates, bringing out their best. If a teammate is not carrying their load; I am the first one to share the weight. Similarly, I am the first to give credit, where credit is due. I mesh well in a team setting and have earned the respect of teammates and coaching staffs alike. I have an very goal orientated work ethic. Once I make a decision, I work through every possible method to achieve my goal; dedicating numerous hours to improve my skills to reach my highest potential. I try to make the most out of every situation by being adaptable and flexible to change. I'm ready to contribute toward the success, and values of your team.
