My name is Luis Andres Ramos, and when I was younger, I could never do sports because my parents were always working and didn't have the time or resources to support my drive for sports. Still, I realized I wanted to play volleyball because my friends played it once I started high school. It was hard work because I didn't have the athletic background that most people had, but I wouldn't give up. I worked hard and went from playing JV to playing varsity in my first year. I joined a club to get better at the sport that I love. I have learned a lot of things about myself through my volleyball journey, but my life isn't all about volleyball. I perform well in the classroom, keeping a 3.7/4.0 GPA throughout high school. I also help my community by serving as a caretaker for young kids. I also work out in the weight room, ensuring my body can support my volleyball drive. My family means a lot to me because they are the ones who have always pushed me to be better and always have my back when I do something. They tell me never to give up and always to find a way to reach my goals.
