Personal Statement

Why should pharmaceuticals be the number one solution for health problems, when there are other holistic practices that can achieve the same results in a drug-free way. In this topic is where I want to focus my energy during my college years. My name is Giomar Collazo, but you can call me “Goku.” If your reading this, you should be sizing up your ring fingers because we are about to win some back to back Championships. Yes, I can hear what you are thinking right now I am different and your probably right to give me a call. You do not want this opportunity to go to waste because I could be like the one that got away.

All jokes aside, I consider myself to be a leader and not only that but my passion and energy for the game travels across my teammates, I lift them up. I want to be the best player in the world. That includes recognizing the role I need to play for the best of the team. I am full of personality and I develop good rapport with my teammates. I have been told many times before that I am the heart and soul of the team regardless of the role taken at the time. That is the kind of player I am.

Training

  • Volleyball
  • 10 years
  • I started playing volleyball since I was 4. I've been lifting weights and doing physical training since I was 14 years old. On top of that, I have been under Victor Rivera and Pablo Guzman wing for the past 4 years working on my skills and fundamentals. Victor is a Lewis University volleyball NCAA DI champion and multiple times all American honors. Pablo is the current national team captain and has played in leagues all around the world. My club experience includes Borinquen Coqui and Torrimar Volleyball Club. I have been bred into a volleyball family because at the time I was born my brother was already playing the pro league in PR. Who happens to be my closest mentor.
