Clayton Zimmerman '20 Recruiting Profile

When I was about 6 years old, my big sister would practically drag me into the backyard and force me to play volleyball with her. Little did I know, those little volleyball lessons would spark my passion that continues to grow everytime I touch a ball. 

Being from Nebraska, it’s been hard to find opportunities to play Boy’s Volleyball. I started playing for High Flyers, the only boy’s team within 3 hours of me, two years ago. Prior to that, I trained with VCNebraska and their girls program, and I continue to do so. Any chance to get on the court, I take. 

I have a love for the game that many people tell me is unmatched. My positive leadership qualities have helped me on the court, as well as off the court. Girls that play for VCNebraska have also told me that their coaches tell them that they need to work like me during practice.
