Personal Statement
My name is Tevin Skeete. I was born and raised in Guyana (South America). After sending seventeen years of my life in Guyana August of 2014 I was given the opportunity to come to the United States to have a better life and make my dreams come through. I never touched a volleyball a day in my life until I came to the US. The first time I did I automatically was attached to this sport. I love volleyball, my athleticism has allowed me to excel at this sport. Playing volleyball has lead me to quit a Varsity Championship Basketball Team to become a full time player, because of the love and excitement I feel whenever I play along with the drive to be the best player I can be. I am a high achieving student that maintains a 3.4 Gpa, that is relentless and persistent. Everything I do I ensure I do it to the best of my ability, giving it 110% every time. I aspire to become a Computer Engineer and compete at the collegiate level. My family has sacrifice tremendously to give me the opportunity to succeed, knowing this gives me motivation to be better than the person I was yesterday on and off the court. Along with my faith and trust in the lord Jesus Christ.
