Julian Chen '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Julian as you can tell already and I’m not as bright and smart as others but I do my best in school. I was inspired to play volleyball and believe it or not I was inspired from watching a volleyball anime. I tried out for the team never touching a volleyball ever in my life and making the team. I didn’t start and only played for a minute or two in games but that never made me get discouraged and want to quit the team, instead I wanted to be a better player and be the best. Watching the starters play and do their best makes me want to become a good player and be able to take their spot when they leave for college. I practice whenever I’m able to so I can be in my best shape for the upcoming season starts. I have one goal which is to be the best player but that goal is unaccomplishable to me. Practicing and thriving to be better with the team as a whole is fun and exciting. Joking around with each other and cheering each other up when they are looking down on themselves, I honestly can’t ask for a better team.
