I have been playing volleyball since my Freshman year of High School. I was going to use it to play a sport to increase my vertical for basketball, but immediately fell in love with the sport. I swung between Junior Varsity and Varsity my Freshman year, as a starter, won the DII State Championship my Sophomore year and got All-Division Honors my Junior year. I made the difficult decision to give up High School Basketball (after being a part of a DII State Championship Team) to focus on Club Volleyball my Senior year. I have aspired to play at the collegiate level and am driven to play at the highest level possible. I know that playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life.
I have a strong jump float serve, quick movement to the block, a strong swing, and a high volleyball IQ. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am extremely coachable and always the hardest working player on the court. I will also be one of the toughest players you will find as I have fought through broken bones and being underestimated to being a part of two State Championship Teams.
In the classroom, I maintain a 3.61 unweighted GPA while taking AP/Honors and College courses. I also volunteer for the local chapter of Breakthrough T1D and was selected to be a Children's Congress Delegate in 2019 where I advocated for people with T1D with members of Congress from Rhode Island.
I want to attend a college where I can excel in the classroom (working towards a degree in Education) and on the volleyball court. I am open to all options and want to find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible.
