I played volleyball for the first time in 5th grade and have loved it ever since. Due to Covid and the fact that school doesn’t provide men’s volleyball I had to take a break from participating in volleyball, it didn’t stop me from wanting to play. When I was 12 years old, we found a beach volleyball club in Spokane and got my hands on the ball. By the end of beach season they started recruiting for men's indoor volleyball. I play indoor volleyball as my main sport and beach volleyball during the summer. One of my dreams since I started playing was to play in college at the highest level, Division I. My passion for volleyball is year-round including participating in any open gyms, skills camps, beach volleyball leagues and tournament. I also love skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing, and hiking which help with my strength and endurance.
I also have strong physical and mental strength and am continuing to develop all aspects of myself in school and on the court. In the classroom I am also a very hard worker doing my best to maintain the highest GPA possible and picking challenging classes including honors English and Biomedical Science in my Freshman year. I have developed reliable and powerful hitting, blocking, and serving skills. I currently have a 36” running vertical jump at age 14. I have been told I am a very coachable player, adapt quickly, and appreciated for my willingness to do anything that the coach asks of me. I support my team from cheering on the bench to winning points in every set. I always try to challenge my teammates and myself during practice, striving to be the hardest working player on the team. I am one of the most determined and hardest working recruits you’ll find.
I dream of playing at a DI level college that still fulfills my academic goals. I am open to all options and in the end want to find the right college for me matching my academic goals and have the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become the first person in my family to play a sport in college, and make my family and myself proud.
