Over the course of 6 years playing little league baseball, I learned how to play as a team. What I learned on the field has transferred into the pool. In water polo games I have been a solid defensive player, and shown the ability to play. Cover any person or position that my coach as asked of me. I have always been more hesitant on offense. This changed during this junior season. The team needed me to step up and start scoring more, which I did improving on both outside shooting and close inside shooting. I wanted to be the one to step up and help motivate the team on offense and defense. It became my goal to dominate every game the best I could.
One of my favorite things on my free time is to lift weights. I enjoy working with my two younger sisters teaching them the game of water polo and letting them know they can do anything.
I always dreamed about swimming or playing water polo in college. That changed from dream to a goal my freshman year in High School. When my Dad and I saw a UCI vs USC game, As well as the CIF division 1 playoff between Harvard Westlake and Mater Dei. After watching those two games, I realized with hard work, I could be a college athlete. After my freshmen season is when I started following the sport much more seriously,
