Stefano Gerodimos '25 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing water polo since I was 8 years old and it is a big part of my life. In everything I do, I inpsire to do my best, work really hard and never give up.  My passion for playing water polo and my unrelenting work ethic have contributed to my success so far.  My ODP National Championships reflect my accomplishments as a winner of the Nick Johnson Inspiration Award (MVP at the ODP).  

I feel that I am a coachable athlete, who is determined to build on my strengths as well as continue to learn to improve.  On my ODP evaluation, my coach described me as follows:

"Stefano demonstrates the ability to perform at an elite level.  He is focused, engaged and eager to learn. Stefano exhibits a growth mindset at all aspects."    

Hearing this feedback from a national-level coach gives me the confidence to succeed and lead by example.

I am also fully committed to my academic achievements. I have been on the Honor Roll and recently earned a 3.8 cumulative GPA. Currently, I am a member of the Men's Varsity team at Bellarmine College Prep and San Jose Water Polo Foundation.  I was also recipient of the USA Water Polo All-American Academic Certificate the last 2 years.  

I also enjoy volunteering my time as a member of Athletes for Justice, one of the oldest running clubs at Bellarmine College Prep. I have been named as Captain for the club.

My goal is to pursue my university studies at a top institution and compete as an active member of the Men's Water Polo team. I am focused, engaged and eager to learn and will work hard to achieve my team and personal goals. Together, I hope to become a part of great community of varsity athletes.
