2023 HighlightsPersonal Statement
After four years of competitive swimming, I was invited to a water polo game at practice. I immediately knew this was the sport for me. Water polo has changed my life and perspective on life. Water polo has taught me an appreciation of both the physical and mental discipline required allowing me to reach my goals. And not only my goals, but the team’s goals as a unit and community of fellow athletes.
I’ve been fortunate in my training with a number of coaches. At the BIWPA training camp in Gainesville FL, Olympian and coach Cecilia Leonard gave me the honorific of Most Improved and warned my fellow players that I was “one to watch”. I intend to prove her right in that statement.
I’ll be attending Barcelona for BIWPA this year and look forward to further updating this bio as soon as I’m back.
