Water polo is my passion, and it's a difficult passion to have being from Illinois. I am always striving to learn more and get better and often that means seeking out higher levels of play and coaching than that which I can get here in Illinois. This summer I had the unique opportunity to stay with family friends in California and play with SoCal. It is not easy to break into an established club and group of players, being from Illinois. After playing with the team all summer and at JOs, however, I emerged as a leader on the team. I always concentrated on playing my best game and trying to help my teammates have their best games as well. I learned new skills and made some great friends that I know I will see again. It was an amazing experience!
It is my goal to play water polo at a high level in college at a school where I can focus on a degree in the health sciences. I am coachable and I learn new skills quickly. I am a natural leader and always strive to bring a positive attitude to my team. In the pool, I have great endurance and I never stop moving, trying to get open, or moving to defend. I know that I can be an asset to any team that is willing to take a chance on this kid from Illinois.
