I've been playing water polo since I was about 7 years old, and I just couldn't imagine going to a university that doesn't offer my favorite thing in the world. My academic goals are to become a certified physiotherapist, while my athletic goals are to play professional water polo, and then when my time as a player is over, I would like to be a coach. I believe I am a good candidate because of my dedication - I put in countless hours to accomplish my sports and academic goals, and also because of my experience of practicing and playing in Serbia. My water polo journey in Serbia started in 2017 with 2 weeks camp "Number 1 kamp vodenih sportova" where Nikola Radjen was my coach along with Igor Milanovic and many other special guests from the Serbian national team. I trained with a team in Belgrade during the summers of 2017 and 2018 called "Tasmajdan vaterpolo klub" and in 2020, I became a member of "Partizan vaterpolo klub". In the summer of 2020 I trained with Partizan and even went to their nationals tournament in 3 different age categories. We went undefeated and I gained lots of experience and knowledge in the process. I have now been living in Belgrade since January 8, 2021 and since then have been practicing twice a day with Banjica (the junior team for Partizan). In 2021 my team won three gold, and one silver medal for the "Kup Srbije" (ages 2004 & 2003) and I have even played in the "super liga" (super league - the highest ranked senior league in Serbia) where I have faced 2 Olympic gold medalists (Stefan Mitrovic and Milos Cuk). I was invited to a training camp last summer (2021) that started July 1st, and ended in late August that was for the U17 national team of Serbia . I stayed in the camp for 1.5 months, and was unfortunately not chosen to represent Team Serbia. That team I trained with, went on to win gold at the 2021, U17 Euro Championship. This summer (2022) I will train with the national team for U19 European Championship, in Podgorica, Montenegro, and the national team camp for the U18 world championship, in Belgrade, Serbia. I would train with Banjica (the junior team of Partizan) but frequently trained with the senior team, along with Olympic athletes such as Milan Aleksic, Stefan Mitrovic, Lovre Milos, Alex Bowen, and Marko Vavic. In the begging of July I signed with the senior team and will play in the superliga, Jadranska liga, the Liga Evrope. Recently (end of June 2022) I won gold a gold medal at the Mediterranean games in Oran, Algeria along with team Serbia. This is my biggest athletic acheivement ever.
