I have been fortunate to live in Philadelphia, Shanghai, and Puerto Rico - each place has taught me something unique. Since 2013, I have been a dedicated swim team member, but in 2018, I found water polo, which has become a significant part of my life. What draws me to water polo is its unparalleled speed and dynamic nature. I have poured my heart and soul into becoming a high-performance athlete in this demanding sport, training 15 hours per week in and out of the pool. I am proud to have participated in various USA water polo tournaments, including the Junior Olympics in 2022 and 2023 and the USA Water Polo Olympic Development Program. I train at the University Athletic Club and Loyola Athletic Club in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I have faced cultural challenges and the limited popularity of water polo in Puerto Rico, but these experiences have instilled in me a powerful sense of self-identity and resilience. I have learned to balance the rigorous demands of water polo youth development programs and training schedules with academic excellence, teaching me valuable time management skills. In the pool, I am a fierce competitor with speed, endurance, and strategic thinking skills, making me a formidable force on offense and defense. As I strive for excellence, I plan to refine my skills and compete at the highest levels possible while pursuing a college degree.
