Janessa Barcello '25 Recruiting Profile

My biggest goal in college is to earn a bachelor's degree, and play high level college basketball. I'd like to study to be a veterinarian (DVM), as I have a passion and love for all animals. I very much enjoy academics as I have always been an honor roll student/athlete. I have been playing basketball since I was five years old, and have been around the sport my whole life. There is no limit as I see it, and one day with hard work and dedication I can be drafted into the Woman's National Basketball Association (WNBA). My dad and mom are my biggest inspirations and they have always pushed me and supported me doing the thing I love most. My grandparents have also been a big support. I am a 5'10 center, but have the ability to shoot and handle the ball, I am dominant right hand but can control the ball with both hands. I push myself and, the people around me to do the best!
