Hi! My name is Sandra Dell, most people call me Sandy but I’m cool with either one. I am a senior at Placer High School in California. Basketball has always been a huge part of my life ever since I started playing in 3rd grade. I have played year-round since 5th grade when I joined my first AAU team Carolina Express. Ever since I started my passion for the sport just continued to grow. Basketball has helped me a lot to grow as an individual and obtain great qualities like teamwork, a hard work ethic, and leadership. I mostly play point guard for the teams I am a part of but I am capable of playing whatever position is needed. I am very involved in my school work and have always put my all into my work just like I do on the court. I have taken honors and AP classes and have obtained a 4.0 GPA. I also am involved in a club at my school called “Block P” that helps do things around campus and our community. This year I was nominated as one of the girls to be the state representative due to my academic achievements and overall qualities I portray. Playing basketball in college would be a great opportunity and an amazing experience, I would love to continue to grow and get the chance to experience playing college basketball. I always give 110% in everything I do and give it my best shot even if I fail I get back up and continue to learn and grow. Right now, I am recovering from a back-to-back hand injury that sidelined me my junior year and is right now for a part of my senior season. You have to always keep working and bounce back even when it feels impossible and stay positive with yourself.
