Since entering high school, I've managed to play as a varsity player on the basketball team. Despite my injuries or inability to finish season, I made sure to stregthen myself both mentally and physically to help my team, and to help myself both in and out of the classroom, and off and on the court. As an attentive and obedient player, I do take direction well, which benefits me in many aspects, particularly raising my basketball IQ. At 5'9 and 135 lbs, my height and weight, as well as my arm length gives me an advantage, but even more so more of a reason to use myself properly in the game. My parents, sister, and family support me in regards to everything in life. My deep passion for basketball and poetry helps me maintain stability and keeps me out of trouble. I've recenty been selected to participate in Sporteks overseas tournament. Unfortnately, due to my families financial inability to pay, I'm going to instead participate in the 3-day bootcamp in Florida. In my eyes, it's better than nothing. I consider each second a blessing and an opportunity of a lifetime. I desire to go to a college that is both great in academics, tradition, and sports. Whether a private college, HBCU, or big university, I'd love to attend a school that will benefit me, and I in return. I've been wanting to major in Kinesiology or Kinesiotherapy, since it'll still keep me in the athletic field. As a determined player, I'm willing to do whatever it takes to play at the next level. If God has it planned for me, I'd love to play professional basketball or play overseas. Whatever coaches are interested in me, I'll be humble and honored to talk to them about attending their school.
