When I started the college research process, I had never considered playing basketball at the collegiate level, but then multiple coaches started to tell me I would have a shot. I love basketball with a passion, and if I play for your team, you will see that in every aspect of my game and character. One of the most important things to me is to be a good teammate on and off the court, and one of my first priorities on any team is to gain the respect of my teammates and coaches. I am always willing to learn new things, and all of my coaches have said I am beyond coachable, given that I am a quick learner who understands the game of basketball extremely well for someone of my level. I have always played point guard, and therefore I have grown up finessing my ball-handling, passing, court vision and basketball IQ. I understand that my statistics may not show a complete basketball player in regards to points, but I am willing to put in every ounce of effort I have to improve in that category, among others. Given the colleges I have already started looking at academically, I pledge that I will be a student first and an athlete second, but that does not mean that I will not be giving my full effort in both fields. I look forward to college because I see it as an opportunity to not only grow and mature as a person and student, but hopefully as a basketball player too.
