I am a 6’0 forward and some of my best accomplishments to date are winning the 2018 Nike TOC in Arizona, the 2018 Diamond State Classic in Delaware, and the 2019 & 2020 local Bay League Championships. In 2018, I was the only freshman on the varsity team which gave me a chance to play alongside the upperclassmen who won the prior year’s CIF State Championship, many of whom today are NCAA athletes playing in Divisions 1, 2, and 3. During my freshman and sophomore years, our team played in the CIF Open Division and Division 1 playoffs, respectively. Today as a key leader on the varsity team I exercise the leadership skills I learned from those upperclassmen who were all highly athletic and motivated teammates.
My video shows highlights of my playing during freshman and sophomore year. Unfortunately, due to my state’s lockdown of high school athletics during the COVID-19 pandemic, I do not have game clips from this year, yet. But I have taken this time to work closely with my coach, Lynn Flanagan, to get stronger and improve my perimeter game. Being away from regular game play has also made me realize how much I miss and love the game of basketball.
As my love of basketball has grown throughout my years as a high school player, I have also learned the importance of keeping a balance between a rigorous academic course load and the high demands of our year-round basketball program.
