Claire Giraudo '20 Recruiting Profile

As an Aussie (Australian), I am dying to pursue my dream as a college athlete. I moved to California in 2018 on a F1 visa and have been exposed to the mother land of basketball. I graduated from Notre Dame High School, Riverside CA in 2020 with a 4.0 GPA. I was granted a full ride scholarship at the University of the District of Columbia in DC for my high skill level in basketball and outstanding academics. I wish to move back to California as a sophomore for the 2021-22 school year. I love the momentum and basketball style in California, plus I am surrounded by close friends that I made in high school. 

I will do anything it takes to get myself at the standard you want me to play at. I am competitive, hard working, self driven, physical and energetic. During this pandemic I have been serious about gaining muscle and becoming my fittest version of my self. I was let down at UDC to find out that my teammates did not have the same passion about  performing at high standards, as I did. The lack of competitiveness was unfortunate, however, it revealed my high levels of self-motivation to stay hungry for success.  I am looking for a college that aligns with my beliefs of hard work and dedication on and off the court.
