Personal Statement

My name is Rachel Harvey. I attend Saint Ignatius College Prep. in San Francisco and I take pride in being a female athlete.

When I play basketball it just feels right. That feeling when you make a pass or score a bucket is the best feeling in the world to me. I want to continue that feeling in college.

What I love most about basketball is being an individual that is part of something bigger, the team.

I think of myself as a caregiver on and off the court. I strive to be the best person I can be. A quote I live by is, "Be the best version of yourself in anything that you do."-Stephen Curry.

In college I am interested in majoring in Sports Management to achieve the goal I have of being a coach.

Outside of sports I like playing with my dog and singing, especially Broadway musicals.

" 2020 Rachel Harvey 5’6” G St. Ignatius College Prep CA Rachel is a tough, smart ball player. She makes all the right plays and communicates at a high level on the court. I remember thinking, “she’s a point guard, point guard.” She finishes surprisingly well in the paint mainly because of the pace with which she attacks the basket.
