Shaylene Stark '17 Recruiting Profile

My goal in college is to not only succeed athletically, but also academically. Basketball has and always will be a love of mine, but I understand that having an education can take you further in life than sports can. Being educated gives me the ability to help people that are less fortunate, which is something I've always wanted to do. I'm a very driven person, and I'm open to learning things that will benefit me as a player and a person. I'm not afraid to work hard to be the best I can be, nor am I afraid to be a leader or complete any other tasks set before me. Ultimately I just want to make something of myself, and change other lives for the better. The only way I can achieve those goals is through basketball and school.
