My name is Havyn Greene, and I am a senior at Cape Henlopen School in Lewes, Delaware. From a young age, I have known that attending college and earning a degree was a non-negotiable goal for me, largely inspired by my father. He always emphasized the importance of higher education and watching him achieve his degree made a lasting impression. It is because of him that I have worked hard to position myself for collegiate success, both academically and athletically.
My love for basketball began early, when I spent countless hours watching college games with my dad. By the time I was six years old, I knew that not only did I want to attend college, but I also wanted to play basketball at a prestigious program. I’ve since dedicated myself to becoming the best player and teammate I can be. Over the years, I’ve been described as the "X factor" for the teams I've played on—not because I dominate the game like LeBron James or Caitlin Clark, but because I bring a unique ability to elevate the team in ways that help us win.
What sets me apart from other recruits is my commitment to teamwork, my desire to learn and improve, and my unwavering dedication to my goals. I don’t just play for personal accolades; I play to contribute to my team’s success. I have always prioritized hard work, coachability, and being a reliable presence both on and off the court. Academically, I am just as committed. I understand that success as a student-athlete requires balance and dedication, and I’m ready to give my all in both areas.
I am confident that wherever I end up, I will be a difference maker. I am fully committed to not only representing the basketball program but also the school with pride and dedication. I look forward to contributing my skills, work ethic, and passion for the game to a team that values these attributes as much as I do.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I’m excited about the possibility of becoming a part of your program and helping to build something great together.
Sincerely,
Havyn Greene
