Hello my name is Katie Klein.
I was born and raised in the state of Florida. I currently attend the Imagine School at North Port, located in North Port, FL. I have been playing basketball since the 4th grade and it has become my life. It has taught me a lot and has given me many opportunities to make a successful future. My aspiration as a basketball player is to play in college while also getting the higher education. It is just as much the education as it is basketball. I would like to think of myself as someone who likes a challenge. I am a member of the Honors Academy at my school. This allowed me to start taking honors and AP classes as a freshman. With these classes,I have kept my GPA above a 3.5. I plan to continue on the path of the Honors Academy until I graduate. The majors I aspire to pursue in college would be either sports medicine or behavioral analysis. I have very deep interests in both areas of study.
What separates me from other recruits is not just what I do in the classroom, it is how much time and hard work I dedicate to the game of basketball. When I am not at practice I am either training with my ball handling coach or at the gym with my personal strength trainer. I love to see myself progress and become better.
I also can bring unique and useful skills to any team. My teachers, coaches, and peers would all describe me as a very determined student athlete who is outgoing, respectful, and kind. I also believe I take on the role of a leader, whether I am on the court or in the classroom. Being team captain of my varsity basketball team allows me to express my role as a leader. I manage to keep everyone laser focused on our one goal, a district title. Since my school is so young we haven't been given that opportunity but me and my team are history in the making.
