Since my freshman year of High School, I knew that I wanted to play basketball at the collegiate level. When I am not working on my academics, I spend most of my time in the gym and on the court working hard to improve and perfect the skills that I have learned over these few years of playing high school ball.
I am a defensive player that hustles on both ends of the court. When I am not working on my academics, I am working to improve my skills in the gym (by myself and with a trainer). I have an extremely positive mindset and I always encourage my teammates to do their best even when things aren’t going right.
I’ve had to sacrifice (family gatherings, friendships, sleep, etc.) to get to where I am now. It has been worth every second, because I am playing the sport that I love and want to continue to grow in. I continually prove to those who doubt me that I can do whatever I put my mind to.
