CAMILLE SMITH '19 Recruiting Profile

Hi everyone,

My Name is Camille Smith. I am Senior at Lucy C. Laney High School in Augusta, GA, and will graduate May 2019. I play on the Girls' Basketball team, and we won two championships back-to-back 2017-2018 & 2016 - 2017 GHSA State Basketball Championship 2AA. I am also the 2017-2018 2A Track Region Champion for Shot Putt and State Finalist in Shot Putt for Laney High School. I have a passion for basketball and am a tough player. I am participating in the Advanced Placement (AP) program and take dual enrollment classes. I have exemplified that I am a high achiever by earning honor roll and awards since elementary school. My collegiate goals and aspirations are as follows:

Short-term goals

1. Graduate from high school with honors;
2. Continue to play on LCLH School’s Girls Basketball Team, and continue to participate in extracurricular activities, such as AAU basketball, and school clubs and community services; and
3. Attend a college or university majoring in Law/Business, and play college basketball.   

Long-term goals

1. Earn a Bachelor’s degree in Law/Business;  
2. Become a lawyer and an entrepreneur, and ultimately become a Judge.  

What makes me a good candidate for your team in regards to character, athletics, and academics is that I am a team player, hard worker, trustworthy, good listener, and strive for excellence academically and athletically. Also, I maintain a positive attitude, stay focus, respect others, and serve the community. As a student athlete, I have good time management and organizational skills. These skills are essential for maintaining good grades and honor roll.

As a student on the Lucy C. Laney High School, I play Center/Power Forward. I am proud of our team winning the 2016 - 2017 & 2017 - 2018 GHSA State Basketball Championship. Received a letterman jacket, ring, and trophy for our team winning the State Championship 2016-2017.  During my 9^th grade year (2015-2016), I played JV and Varsity Basketball. For JV, I received an award “Most Offensive Player” (2015-2016); and earned letter for eligibility for a Letterman Jacket at Cross Creek High School.
